Paleo Trends to Watch
• Certified Paleo Products
The most popular and trusted certification is the Certified Paleo label (www.certifiedpaleo.com) which is used to assure shoppers that associated products are free of grains, legumes, dairy, artificial coloring, artificial preservatives, artificial sweeteners and artificial flavor enhancers.
• Paleo/ Vegan Crossover Products
Due to significant overlap in the foods eaten by followers of these diets, the biggest opportunity lies in offering “clean” crossover products that appeal to both groups: dairy-free, meat-free, grain-free, and legume-free.
• Meat jerky and Paleo bars
Soy-free, Grass-fed and Pastured Meat Jerky and Bars created from Paleo-Approved ingredients are becoming increasingly popular.
• Grain-free,sweetener-free granolas
Beyond gluten-free, these popular paleo foods contain no grains or refined sugars.
